O conceito inicial da <strong>Spaceship Earth<\/strong> nasceu em meados da d\u00e9cada de 1970, gra\u00e7as ao sonho de Walt Disney de uma <strong>Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow<\/strong>, que deu origem ao parque tem\u00e1tico EPCOT Center. A partir da base, erguem-se estruturas \u201cquadr\u00f3podes\u201d que sustentam vigas menores que formam o revestimento do esqueleto de a\u00e7o. Tubos afastam os pain\u00e9is de revestimento de alum\u00ednio do esqueleto e criam espa\u00e7o para as instala\u00e7\u00f5es. Um pequeno carro de servi\u00e7o fica estacionado no espa\u00e7o intersticial entre as superf\u00edcies estrutural e de revestimento e pode transportar um t\u00e9cnico deitado pelas laterais para acessar os pontos de reparo. O edif\u00edcio \u00e9 composto por duas partes:<\/p><p>\u2013 Uma com os seis andares inferiores, projetada por <strong>Joseph Urban<\/strong> e <strong>George B. Post &amp; Sons<\/strong>. A constru\u00e7\u00e3o come\u00e7ou em <strong>1927<\/strong> e foi conclu\u00edda em <strong>1928<\/strong><br \/>\u2013 A segunda, com os outros 40 andares, foi projetada por <strong>Norman Foster<\/strong> e <strong>Adamson Associates Architects<\/strong>. Projetado para consumir muito menos energia do que um edif\u00edcio de escrit\u00f3rios convencional de Nova York, o Hearst Tower utiliza ventila\u00e7\u00e3o com ar externo em at\u00e9 75% do ano e \u00e9 um modelo de design de escrit\u00f3rios sustent\u00e1vel.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Ao contr\u00e1rio de uma estrutura de arma\u00e7\u00e3o tradicional, a torre tem uma forma triangulada. Com seus cantos recuados, o efeito enfatiza as propor\u00e7\u00f5es verticais do edif\u00edcio e cria uma silhueta facetada e marcante no horizonte, revelando vistas \u00fanicas da malha urbana de Manhattan. O edif\u00edcio deste hotel foi projetado e concebido pela <strong>Zaha Hadid Architects<\/strong>. O projeto foi apresentado por Zaha Hadid em 2007; \u00e9 o \u00fanico hotel no qual ela criou tanto a arquitetura quanto os interiores. O projeto come\u00e7ou em <strong>2012<\/strong> e foi conclu\u00eddo externamente em <strong>2019<\/strong>. O cubo \u00e9 ent\u00e3o \u201cesculpido\u201d, criando um vazio central que constitui, por si s\u00f3, um volume importante dentro do edif\u00edcio, oferecendo vistas para o exterior a partir do centro do edif\u00edcio.
